吴道子(约680-759),唐代著名画家,画史尊称画圣。擅画佛道、神鬼、人物、山水、鸟兽等,尤精于佛道、人物,长于壁画创作。

太华全图 清康熙三十九年(1700) 贾鉝绘
太华即西岳华山,位于陕西华阴县境内,有东西南北中五峰,峭壁千仞,山势雄伟。图中所刻的山形、祠宇、道路等布局、形态及相互间的距离均较为准确,是一幅珍贵的早期华山旅游示意图。

TAIHUA MOUNTAIN, KNOWN AS HUASHAN MOUNTAIN IS ONE OF THE FIVE FAMOUS SACRED MOUNTAINS IN CHIAN, IT LIES IN HUAYIN COUNTY OF SHAANXI PROVINCE. THE MOUNTAIN CONSISTS OF FIVE PEAKS, THE WEST, THE EAST, THE NORTH, THE SOUTH AND THE CENTRAL ONES. THE MAP ON THE STELE IS A GOOD TOURIST MAP FOR TRAVELING IN HUASHAN MOUNTAIN BECAUSE OF ITS ACCURACY.

万寿宫图 元(1271-1368) 
图中有“天师殿”、”道藏法论“、碑碣、桂树及殿宇刻画。传为陇州万寿宫平面图,残存原图之左下部分。

清康熙二十二年(1683)苏轼书
内容是苏轼谪居黄州(今湖北黄冈)所写六首诗。苏轼(1037-1101),北宋文豪,且善书法,列”宋四家“之首。

米芾四条屏诗碑   米芾书(款)
清代摹刻(1644-1911) 
米芾,宋代著名书画家,其书法列”宋四家“之一,为人顶狂放达,有”米颠“之称,其书亦如其人,下笔痛快。此四条屏是用行书写的一首五律诗,内容描绘古都长安的风景物象。

张化龙碑
时代:清宣统二年(公元1910年)
张化龙,名升云或升荣,陕西扶风县绛中村人,清光绪三十二年(1906)领导扶风人民在太白山九阳宫坚旗起义,要求清政府免路捐、减盐价、惩办贪官劣绅,后来起义失败,被清政府杀害。这是该县农民自发捐款为他刻立的纪念碑,原立于张化龙家乡,1970年移存碑林。

THE TABLET TO ZHANG HUALONG
TIME: THE 2ND YEAR OF XUANTONG REIGN, QING DYNASTY (1910)
ZHANG HALONG, FROM JIANGZHONG VILLAGE, FUFENG COUNTY OF SHAANXI, IN THE 32ND YEAR OF GUANGXU REN OF QING DYNASTY, LED THE PEOPLE OF FUFENG TO UPRISE AT JIUYANG PALACE IN TAIBAI MOUNTAIN, RAISING CLAIMS TO THE GOVERNMENT THAT THE TAX ON ROAD BE EXEMPTED, THE PRICE OF SALT BE DECREASED AND THE CORRUPTED OFFICIALS AND THE EVIL GENTRY BE PUNISHED. AFTER THE FAILURE OF UPRISING, HE WAS MURDERED BY TE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS A MEMORIAL ERECTED BY THE PEASANTS THROUGH THEIR OWN CONTRIBUTION OF MONEY.

 魁星点斗图
清同治年间(1862- 1874) 马德昭绘
古代科举以五经取士,每经首选一人成为“魁”,所以当时学宫多筑有魁星楼,塑造魁星点斗像奉祀,此图以儒家提倡的“正心修已,克已复礼”八字组成魁星形象,一脚翘起托一“斗”字,一脚立“鳌”字上,取“魁星点斗、独占鳌头”之意,形象生动,拼字巧妙。

WITH THE EIGHT CHINESE CHARACTERS "ZHENG XIN XIU SHEN, KE JI FU LI" (CULTIVATE ONE'S MIND AND IMPROVE ONE'S CHARACTER, RESTRAIN ONESELF AND RESTORE RITES) AS THE STANDARD OF CONFUCIAN SCHOOL, THE IMAGE OF THE GOD OF LITERATURE IS MADE UP WITH ONE FOOT STICKING UP CUPPING THE CHARACTER "DOU(斗)" AND WITH THE OTHER FOOT STANDING ON THE CHARACTER "ao(鳌)", IT SYMBOLIZES THE GOD OF LITERATURE TOUCHING THE DIPPER, MEANING ONE'S NAME COMING FIRST IN THE IMPERIAL EXAMINATION.

达摩面壁图 - 达摩东渡图
清(1644-1911)风癫和尚绘

达摩是南天竺(今印度)王子,于梁普通元年(520)泛海达广州,被梁武帝迎至金陵共谈佛理,语不投机,达摩乃折苇渡江入魏,居河南嵩山少林寺,终日面壁达九年之久,是禅宗初祖。

BODHIDHARMA WAS THE PRINCE OF THE SOUTH INDIA. IN THE FIRST YEAR OF PUTONG REIGN IN LIANG(520), HE SAILED ON THE SEA TO GUANGZHOU, EMPEROR WUDI OF LIANG WELCOMED HIM TO JINLING AND TALKED BUDDHISM. BECAUSE THE CONVERSATION GOT DISAGREEABLE, DHARMA CROSSED THE YANTZE RIVER AND MADE HIS WAY TO WEI. SINCE THEN HE LIVED IN SHAOLIN TEMPLE, FACING THE WALL DAY AND DAY FOR NINE YEARS. HE IS THE FIRST ANCESTOR OF CHAN SECT. THESE TWO STELES, ONE IS ENGRAVED WIH THE IMAGE OF DHARMA SITTING ON HASSOCK FACING THE WALL, THE OTHER IS ENGRAVED WITH THE PICTURE OF DHARMA IN THE REEDS CROSSING OVER TO THE EAST.
